As everyone knows, ear is a significant organ, responsible for receiving sound waves. There are 3 major parts in an ear viz.
Outer, middle and inner ear. Each of these plays a vital role in the standard functioning of the ear.
Even a mild damage in any of the ear parts may cause ear issues and hearing impairment. Hearing loss is a partial or total incapacity to understand sound waves. Mixed – In mixed type, both conductive and sensorineural are responsible for causing hearing impairment.
Reasons for Permanent hearing difficulties Permanent hearing loss can be caused due to several reasons. It can be gradual, for e.g, age related hearing difficulties ( presbyacusis ) or unexpected hearing impairment, for e.g, viral infection.
It’s a fact that sensorineural disorder leads to permanent hearing impairment, while a conductive deafness might be non permanent or permanent. Let’s have a look at the reasons behind permanent hearing loss. Exposure to highly loud noise

According to a study by genetic analysts at the Institute of Kid Health in London, it was disclosed that use of powerful antibiotics in those youngsters who have an inherited sensitivity towards antibiotics, may result in ear damage ( otoxicity ) and permanent hearing loss. Permanent hearing difficulties might or might not be related to tinnitus ( determined ringing of the ear ).
Diagnosis of permanent hearing difficulties is done based totally on physical exam and hearing tests like murmured speech tests, tuning fork test and pure tone audiometry. After confirmation of permanent hearing impairment, the doctor may prescribed use of hearing aids assistive listening devices or other communication aids . If you stay in a loud environment, it is always recommended to guard from the unattractive noise by trying earplugs or other auditory protecting devices. Well! Care is always better than cure.
